Chaat Sammelan happens in Jhelum lawns/Jhelum hostel of the university every year on the night before the Holi. It is fun-filled event preceded by heavy publicity through wall posters relating to fake marriages, Baaraat and the like to tease and excite the public. Though the idea originated in Jhelum hostel, more and more hostels now send candidates to Chat Sammelan. Laughathon is only a rough translation by me. Check out the posters to know more and must see the chaat maharajas riding donkey/horse! Please note that the Holi documentation on this blog is not comprehensive and I have missed many aspects of it. It is indicative and gives a great glimpse of the great Holi that  JNU campus enjoys every year! 😀
